ping.fm to RSS

I am in the process of developing a script that will post to ping.fm.
A glimpse of the script can be found at http://seoatwork.com/ping/beta.htm
Currently testing the script as an application. Please try it out with your ping.fm api key and let me know any faults or improvements.
Once testing is completed the script will be released to the public domain. You can install the script on your server and it will post the latest rss feeds to your ping.fm account.

Limitations
Needs a server which supports PHP and CURL.
Needs cron tab to run.

Features
Checks for New Posts and avoids duplication.

Please test and comment on this page and let me improve and hopefully I can release this in 2 or 3 days

Comments

Veeeeeryyyyy Awesome.

Dude, thanks a lot. Can you make something like this, for posterous? :)

great script - when will be released to the public ?

interested in your script , why dont you make a paid subscription with support ? or offer it in beta version?
any emails for contact?

Why not the FULL Feed man?

I see all these scripts and wp plugins trying to automate ping fm ... and only has much use?

Whats the point of merely sending feed posts title and a link back ot the original? At least send partial body content?
Better yet - send the whole thing - like ya should. There's 50 tools out there that already do this ...

google reader //// twitter feed /// etc...

Send the full monty and you will have something worthwhile

Nice!

On the main page you say "RSS to ping.fm" and on this page you say "ping.fm to RSS" ???
Assuming its "RSS to ping.fm" then I am thrilled that you are doing this!!!
Secondly do you have to use CURL!?! http://www.bin-co.com/php/articles/curl_in_godaddy.php
Thirdly does lastRSS hold any clues? http://paulstamatiou.com/stammy-script-rss-to-twitter-using-php
Finally - If I could code I would help you but please know that I am counting the minutes till you crack it..

works

It does work, but if the rss is longer than a micro blog allows, it clips the text,

Yes it works!

Hi there, I followed your link here from the Ping.fm support community. I just tested your app and yes, it definitely works. As a matter of fact it seems that yours is the only one that's actually able to post to Ping.fm at the moment. [Pingvine doesn't work... twitterfeed takes forever and may or may not work....] So I was wondering, is your app going to have the ability to save the feed data and ping on a certain interval at some point?
